Toys.

When life gets me down, I like to make toys. Normally I am a hardcore crocheter, but I got a super cute book on Valentine’s day and got to work fairly quickly. The first toy is from the “Unmotivated Kid” pattern. The fabric is ancient bits and pieces I have been saving from my days at Malabar.

I also bought acrylic beanie things to stuff it with, so it will have a little weight. Once I finish moving my junk around this week, I will be able to set up my sewing machine and crank it out.  I have lots of scrap fabric to mess around with, including old BME shirts, so expect more posts in the future.

Old T-shirts make great cushion covers. Dave Grohl says so! http://mycherieamour.blogspot.com/2005/10/dave-grohl.html

I’ve been bitten by the crafting bug again myself…

With Shannon being the one posting most on here, I was really confused by this at first. This is adorable, though. Tiny buttons. :)

Yeah, that’s what I was gonna say. Hum, hum, Shannon likes to make toys when he’s down, ok, sure, he’s a hardcore crocheter? hrm? Ah, this is not a post by the usual author. :D
Hey Caitlin, I saw a woman, almost ran over a woman, in Barnes and Noble that looked a whole lot like you. I was all “weird” and she looked like “damn, that strange staring lady should watch where she’s going!”.
Akward. Nice toy, I hope you incorporate some pretty kerchief pieces into your creations. I have lots. Well, many. :)
