Cold Water Extraction II
I think the theme of my latest paintings is “things I’ve been accused of” or something like that… I bought some new canvases today — this is being done in 42″x48″. I also got a 54″x42″ which isn’t committed to anything yet, and a couple smaller ones as well that I’ll do stuff with Nefarious on. I’m not sure yet what colors I’m going to do this painting in… on one hand I want to go bright and psychedelic, but on the other hand I want to stay true to the feeling of the kind of high you’d get from an opiate extraction and stick with mellow, warm tones. In any case, that’s my next large piece. As I write this it’s still for sale.

I like that you decided to paint that one. I thought the sketch was great.
I think you should consider raffling off one of your paintings. I could never afford to buy one, but I’d gladly buy a ticket for the chance of winning one.
But I can understand if you only want your art in certain hands. Just an idea on how to get some money to help pay for some of those fees…

I like the raffle idea. Reading all the comments from people who’d love to own one of your paintings but who don’t have much money, I remembered the photo lottery that Jerome held a while ago. It seemed pretty successful. Of course, it would take some work to set up something like that … in your ’spare time,’ of course.
Anyway, if it ever does happen, count me in too.

you scale your sketches up really well. i can’t wait to see what that looks like with colour.
aside from that, you look like a crazy person. but i suppose that is to be expected.

Hello Shannon, i’ve stumbled here from bodytwo (i hope all this bme-drama ends soon) and i just stepped into your comments as hAteR did, i just love Accion Mutante!. Is a funny movie and it makes a funny joke about my province (Asturias in the North of Spain).
i hope you’ll manage to see it, is a weird piece of spanish cinema.

Accion Mutante, besides being a kick-ass movie, is also a german crust/punk band, heh.
