Tikikaiju III
Pardon the redeye… Work on Tikikaiju: Godzilla Creates Himself is progressing nicely with the primary basecoat being in place. I worked on it quite a bit and am in enormous pain from it, both physically and mentally. My personal theory on that is that to create something of beauty, you have to tear that beauty from yourself, which is one of the most excruciating things a person can do to themselves. Speaking realistically though, I think the phenomena is akin to Korean gamers that drop dead after intense sessions — that is, combat fatigue from extended and highly focussed concentration and exertion.

Wow, I’m in awe of your skills. It’s so damn vibrant I’d kill to have a painting like this on my wall…it would make me smile everytime I pass it! I’m shite at painting myself, but god do I lurve it.
Hope you’re holding up ok these days man. I have so much respect for someone who can still work their ass off this hard through such a emotional shit storm. The fact that you’re still maintaining your art (paintings, bodytwo etc) is inspiring. Bme is tumbleweed town without you…viva la Bodytwo!

I have to say that you definitely have working with high gloss medium down to a science. I hate using the shit. Technique is backward of what I’m used to. I definitely overwork areas to death!
They look amazing.
